Intramural Sports

The Intramural Sports Department at Salisbury University is home to an average of 3,000 students each year who participate in recreational sports! We provide an inclusive experience for ALL SU Students, from wheelchair basketball to cornhole, from our 4 week long competitive leagues, to our 1 day pop-up tournaments, we have something for all! We also pride ourselves with giving back to our local communities with Toys For Tots, SU Relay For Life, & MORE!

In addition to providing an experience that is Fun, Safe, and Competitive, we work hands on with over 45 student staff members to educate, train, and develop to be life long learners once they graduate SU. Your tax deductible donation will help provide professional development opportunities for our staff, chances for Intramural Sport teams to travel to regionals and nationals, and overall cultivate a culture of excellence, competition, professionalism, and fun every year here at SU for ALL SU Students!

Judith K. Franzak Literacy Studies Endowment

After more than 10 years of leadership and service to the literacy studies doctoral program and Salisbury University, Dr. Judith Franzak is retiring! Judi’s steadfast approach to fostering genuine relationships, grounded in collegiality, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence, has been invaluable in shaping the Ed.D. program’s growth, success, and future. Her impact can be seen in the program’s curriculum, the rigor and quality of student research, and the strong partnerships built across campus. Thanks to her dedication and the shared vision she fostered, the Ed.D. program has become a vibrant scholarly community that will continue to carry these values forward.

In celebration, we are excited to announce the establishment of the Judith K. Franzak Literacy Studies Endowment for doctoral students presenting their research at national or international conferences. This endowment is named in recognition of Judi’s legacy as an unwavering advocate and champion for the professional development and success of doctoral students, promoting their growth as scholars, educators, and leaders in the field of literacy education.
