Men's and Women's Swimming
Sea Gull Swimming has emerged as one of NCAA Division III’s most exciting stories. In the 2024–25 season, the women’s team captured its first‑ever New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championship, with standout performances from Sydney McCallie, who earned three NCAA Championship qualifications and All‑America honors in the 200‑ and 400‑yard individual medleys — a program milestone. Both the men’s and women’s teams demonstrated competitiveness throughout the year and helped build a culture of excellence under Head Coach Nate Parsley.
Sea Gull Swimming’s success reflects not only athletic achievement but also academic and community leadership, as Salisbury student-athletes ranked among the top in Division III for community service hours.
Your Giving Day support will help fund travel expenses, upgraded training equipment, strength and conditioning resources, and facility enhancements so our swimmers can continue competing at the national level, break more records, and represent Salisbury with pride in and out of the pool.
Mobile Learning Lab & Makerspace
Salisbury University is pioneering the idea of “classrooms” as makerspaces, which will push future educators to inspire their students to be makers, inventors, and entrepreneurs. Both faculty and students are learning to infuse the maker mindset into their teaching philosophies by applying a combination of programming, design thinking, 3D modeling, and physical computing experiences. While the university’s educator preparation program has a stand-alone technology course, it is also emphasizing the integration of concepts across all instructional methods courses. To build capacity for in-service educators, the School of Education is also offering professional development in invention literacy for practicing teachers to increase play-based learning and makerspace access.
