Commuter Connections
Your support of Commuter Connections helps build a home away from home for SU’s students who travel to campus each day. By supporting Commuter Connections, you ensure that those balancing busy schedules, work, and family commitments feel valued, connected, and empowered to succeed. Our program helps combat food insecurity by providing breakfast to go, while hosting events (like cornhole and spikeball torunaments) that foster friendship, reduce stress, and strengthen campus ties.
Your gift to Commuter Connections will support our semester de-stress walk, commuter breakfasts, and other needs as they pop up.
Comunidad and Umoja Scholars Program (CUSP)
The Comunidad and Umoja Scholars Program (CUSP) in the School of Social Work is a leadership development and mentoring initiative designed to prepare master-level social work students for culturally responsive practice. Rooted in the values of community and unity, CUSP supports students who are committed to serving and leading in communities of color.
CUSP addresses the need for a more representative and culturally responsive social workforce by providing scholars with intensive mentoring, professional development seminars, leadership training, and conference opportunities. Through these experiences, students build the skills, confidence, and relationships needed to make a meaningful impact.
Your support will strengthen community-based interventions and leadership projects developed by CUSP Scholars, while also funding critical training and professional growth opportunities.
Your gift helps prepare the next generation of social work leaders to serve with cultural humility, strengthen communities, and create lasting change.
