Club Softball

Club Softball is a new club of students interested in developing and maintaining their softball skills at a fun and moderately competitive level. We hope to travel and compete regionally with other university club ball teams. To do that, we need financial support. Please consider giving to our cause.

Your gift to Club Softball provides resources to building lifelong connections for students passionate about the sport.

Coach Deane Deshon Sea Gull Baseball Endowment

Just two months before his passing, Coach Deshon established the Coach Deane Deshon Sea Gull Baseball Endowment with the help of his son Mark.  Coach Deshon believed greatly in the program he built and wanted to set up an endowment that would continue to help his beloved Sea Gulls.

Coach Mike McGlinchey Endowment

Coach Mike McGlinchey is revered for the dedication he had to his players both on and off the football field. He was loved and highly respected by students, athletes, faculty, staff, and members of the community at large for his unmatched intensity, discipline, and commitment to excellence. He shaped the confidence and character of hundreds of young student-athletes, extending beyond the sport itself, and he upheld this commitment through the end of his life, when he passed away in 1997 after a long fight with ALS.

He embodied the spirit of overcoming adversity, rising to one’s maximum potential and never fearing to take on greater challenges. His passion motivated athletes to attain a level of performance they otherwise would not have envisioned; and through his integrity, character, and legacy, he stands as a strong role model for coaches and student-athletes at Salisbury University.

All the proceeds from the Coach Mike McGlinchey Endowment will help fund coaching positions and professional development opportunities for new coaches looking to advance in the profession. Please take this opportunity to honor the impact Coach McGlinchey has had on so many lives over the years and make your gift today!

Commuter Connections

Your support of Commuter Connections helps build a home away from home for SU’s students who travel to campus each day.  By supporting Commuter Connections, you ensure that those balancing busy schedules, work, and family commitments feel valued, connected, and empowered to succeed. Our program helps combat food insecurity by providing breakfast to go, while hosting events (like cornhole and spikeball torunaments) that foster friendship, reduce stress, and strengthen campus ties.

Your gift to Commuter Connections will support our semester de-stress walk, commuter breakfasts, and other needs as they pop up.

Comunidad and Umoja Scholars Program (CUSP)

The Comunidad and Umoja Scholars Program (CUSP) in the School of Social Work is a leadership development and mentoring initiative designed to prepare master-level social work students for culturally responsive practice. Rooted in the values of community and unity, CUSP supports students who are committed to serving and leading in communities of color.

CUSP addresses the need for a more representative and culturally responsive social workforce by providing scholars with intensive mentoring, professional development seminars, leadership training, and conference opportunities. Through these experiences, students build the skills, confidence, and relationships needed to make a meaningful impact.

Your support will strengthen community-based interventions and leadership projects developed by CUSP Scholars, while also funding critical training and professional growth opportunities.

Your gift helps prepare the next generation of social work leaders to serve with cultural humility, strengthen communities, and create lasting change.
