Re-Envisioning Ethics Access and Community Humanities (REACH)
Support SU's REACH initiative on Salisbury University's Giving Day!
The REACH Initiative is a multi-year collaboration between the departments of Philosophy and Psychology at Salisbury University. We envision a community in which decisions are grounded in a robust ethical practice which centers trust and mutual accountability.
Our mission is to facilitate community-engaged conversations about ethics in a manner which fosters collaboration, transparency, accountability, and meaningful community-informed transformation.
- Building the Network: The Community Ethics Network (CEN) consists of over 300 regional nonprofit or government organizations, small and large for-profit businesses, advocacy and activist groups, faith or religious-based organizations, and individual members in our community who are invested in robust community-based ethical practices.
- Listening Sessions: Network with others with similar experience; engage in conversations about ethical issues in our local community; identify ethical priorities for our community and potential solutions; provide your input into what resources are needed in our community
- Summarize Findings: Colloquium talks, publications, and conference presentations
- Develop Resources: Drop in teaching sessions, case studies for classroom use, and ethics workshops
- Community Distribution: Ethics consultation, moderated facilitated stakeholder discussions, ethics workships, white papers and reports
