Athletic Communications
What We Do
The Department of Athletic Communications is responsible for keeping the public up-to-date with Sea Gull Athletics. Some of the department’s primary functions include:
- Staffing gameday table and press box workers who update scoreboards, clocks, and live stats
- Writing game recaps, press releases, and feature stories
- Facilitating external media relations for SU teams, players, and coaches
- Recruiting and training student talent for the Sea Gull Sports Network (SGSN), the university’s online athletics streaming service
- Maintaining the Athletics website (suseagulls.com) and the department’s social media presence
