BCCR Humanitarian Efforts In Ukraine: Support Ukrainian Police

Support Humanitarian Efforts in Ukraine! Help Ukrainian Police protecting civilians in need.

The Bosserman Center for Conflict Resolution at Salisbury University is currently working in Ukraine to secure much needed nonmilitary equipment used to track the movement of individuals. This technology was destroyed by Russian military, but is critical to monitor the whereabouts of internally displaced persons as well as refugees who have fled to other nearby countries.

Additionally, the BCCR is working to provide funding to assist non-military programs for which the Ukrainian government has specifically requested assistance. Human trafficking thrives in war zones and lawless regions, often referred to as “ black spots”, where women and children are more easily abducted in the chaos. This is happening in Ukraine at an unprecedented level. Russian bombs have destroyed Ukrainian police stations, which has significantly degraded the ability of law enforcement to prevent or deter human trafficking.
