Sharks Support Sea Gulls with Shark Week
Sharks and Supporters,
The COVID-19 pandemic has altered the everyday way of life for all of us. Even though we cannot socialize like we might normally do, we are fortunate to be part of a brotherhood that looks out for each other. For those of us who are able to help not just our rugby brothers in school but also the greater Salisbury University community, we’ve created Shark Week! Shark Week is a week-long giving drive where we are encouraging our community to contribute to SU’s Student Emergency Fund.
The Student Emergency Fund is available to current students who encounter unexpected financial needs due to extenuating circumstances which could cause them to withdraw from the University. This fund has existed for some time but has seen an enormous spike in funding requests from students effected by the COVID-19 Pandemic. Many students and parents have lost jobs, making it difficult for them to pay for necessities like food, housing or the technology now needed to take classes online.
We are an impact community, and this is our chance to make an impact. Your gift to the Student Emergency Fund will make an immediate difference in the lives of students who need financial assistance in order to continue their education at SU. We are Salisbury Rugby, in good, bad, and ugly. This is bad, this is ugly, we’ll get it to good again. Stay safe, stay strong, stay together!
