SU Football Locker Room Upgrade
Salisbury Football has had many milestones since its inaugural year in 1972, headed by Dick Yobst. Salisbury had its first bowl win in 1976 in the Coca Cola Bowl. In 1983, Coach Mike McGlinchey led the Sea Gulls to the program's first 10-win season and NCAA semifinal appearance. Coach McGlinchey's teams followed this up with two more NCAA appearances, culminating in 1986 with an appearance in the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl. Joe Rotellini led the team to its first ECAC Bowl in 1995. Current Coach Sherman Wood is taking Salisbury Football to new heights with multiple conference championships, bowl games, and NCAA wins. The successes of these coaches are not just marked with the wins and losses on the field, it also is apparent in the lives they shaped. Each of these coaches helped to form the college experience for their players by teaching many life lessons that have made them successful after they left Salisbury University.
