We celebrate Dr. Diane Davis’ contributions to the Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) program at Salisbury University. During her 35+ year career at Salisbury University, Dr. Davis-Hayes taught hundreds of students as a professor. She took on the role of clinical coordinator and over the course of 25 years in that role, she grew the number of clinical sites from just two to over ten. As clinical coordinator, she also developed and organized all of the student checklists and manuals that our students are all familiar with now. Under Dr. Davis’ leadership, MLS students have consistently scored at or above the national average on the national credentialing exam for several years. These are just a few of the many accomplishments that Diane achieved during her time at SU.
We are excited to announce a new (as of April 2023), endowed scholarship in Diane’s name, which was established by her loving husband and children to honor her legacy and her dedication to the MLS program. The Dr. Diane Davis Medical Laboratory Science Scholarship will provide renewable scholarships to current student(s) pursuing an undergraduate degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences.
