Flash Fundraiser for PACE Community Language Assistants
The Institute for Public Affairs and Civic Engagement (PACE) is fundraising to support its Community Language Assistants initiative. This program places bilingual and trilingual Salisbury University students in local schools as mentors to English-language learners. Our goal is $6,000 and your gift, of any amount, will help us get there!
As the number of students in Wicomico County who speak Spanish and Haitian-Creole continues to grow, so does the need for culturally responsive support. Community Language Assistants commit 90 minutes per week to serve as translators, peer mentors, and role models, helping younger students feel seen, heard, and empowered.
With your help, we can cover the cost of background checks and provide modest stipends to 18 SU students serving at Bennett Middle, Pinehurst Elementary, and the county’s summer school program.
Your support will strengthen this powerful partnership between SU and local schools, giving our students career-connected experience while helping the next generation thrive in the classroom and beyond!
Flash Fundraiser for Social Work Fellows
Support professional development for SU Social Work fellows!
Salisbury University’s Social Work program is fundraising to provide professional development and training opportunities for our post-graduate fellows. SU fellows are new social workers providing mental health care right here on the Eastern Shore.
With your support, we can help these recent graduates navigate their first year in the field, strengthen local mental health resources, and encourage them to continue their careers in our community.
Thanks to an anonymous $5,000 matching gift, your gift will be doubled to make an even greater impact.
Join us in supporting the next generation of mental health leaders!

Food for the Flock
Food for the Flock, Salisbury University's on-campus food pantry, has been serving the campus community for 6 years, averaging 500 pickups and offering 190 volunteer slot opportunities each semester. The pantry provides non-perishable food, cosmetics, cleaning supplies, and limited dairy products to students in need. It also raises awareness about food insecurity through informational graphics and social media.
Your gift will help us keep our shelves stocked and provide vital resources to students in need, ensuring they can focus on their education without worrying about their next meal. Join us in supporting Food for the Flock and ensuring that every student can thrive.
