The Kottemann Family Scholarship was established in memory of Professor Jeffrey Kottemann, former Chair (1994-2006) and faculty member in the Information and Decision Sciences department. Awarded annually to an information systems major, the recipient is nominated and selected by department members as one who combines academic performance with a “scholar’s heart”.

To many, Robert Schultheis was a colleague, a friend or just the person who was always there in their time of need. Rob was a district sales manager for Sysco Eastern MD where he worked for 14 years. He was a proud alumnus of Salisbury University and a past president of Salisbury University Alumni Association. He enjoyed everything life had to offer, especially his wife, children and family. Tragically, on October 16, 2015, Rob was killed while running near his home. A memorial scholarship exists to keep Rob's memory alive, while helping a student with financial assistance at his Alma Mater.

How Can YOU Make a Difference?

Each year, we honor Rob by holding the Run the Boards Like Rob 5k and fun run. Money raised supports the memorial scholarship in Rob's honor. Please consider being a sponsor to continue Rob's legacy. Deadline is October 1, 2025.
